Once your coffee is cold, add it to the blender with a cup of coconut cream, ice cubes, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 teaspoons of MCT oil or coconut oil. If you like your smoothies a bit sweet, add Stevia to taste. Hit blend, and you’re ready to go.

If you want to make it a little fancier, top it with heavy whipping cream and a dash of cinnamon.

Tip: Make Coconut Milk Ice Cubes for Smoothies

Many of the keto shake recipes that you’ll find will use coconut milk as a base. Ice is always needed to give it that cool, delicious texture. Why not combine them?

Add MCT Oil

MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. They are made up of fatty acids from coconut oil. This type of fat is quickly metabolized and converted into energy.

MCT oil is a great way to get some quick energy. Many athletes use it for that reason.

For others, it can help lower bad cholesterol and decrease triglycerides in the blood. There has been some evidence that MCT oil is beneficial for brain conditions like Alzheimer's or ADHD.

What’s with the Cashews?

Cashews are very versatile. They are great for a snack, and you can add them to recipes for texture. They also make amazing nut butter.

Why not use them in your keto shakes? They provide the much-needed protein and healthy fats, but they have minerals, vitamins, and trace minerals, too. There’s even some evidence that they can help with weight loss.

Why Use The Coconut Milk Cubes?

The fat and protein in these coconut cubes help to satisfy hunger longer. They make keto smoothies come out creamy and add a great flavor.

The Recipe

Make sure you have all the ingredients. You need 2 cups of cashews, 8 ounces of MCT oil, and an 8 ounce can of full-fat coconut milk. Make sure the coconut milk is at room temperature.

Put the cashews in the blender first and blend until they are finely ground. Hit the pulse button 10 times for 1-2 seconds.

Next, add the coconut milk and MCT oil. Blend until it is creamy.

Add the mixture to ice cube trays and freeze overnight.
